Okay, I realise that I've not been around much.
Fact is, I was thinking if I should quit altogether considering I've not had much time or inclination to write my feelings down recently.
Today, somehow this urge to pen down things has taken me again.
Rest assured, I will finish the marriage post (I know I've still to write Part 3)and paste it here today itself. ![]()
To start with, let me give you some good news- my sister K is pregnant. We suspect she's carrying twins!
Her first ultrasound scan on April 7 will determine if our suspicion is correct. With things going well, she should deliver them in November.
I'm going to be an aunt and I'm very happy even though it means I have to finally accept that I'm growing old.
With her being pregnant, there are a lot of responsibilities coming up. K is a sensitive case health wise. She lacks basic nutrition as such and I've been asked by her in-laws and my parents to make sure she eats and drinks what is required of her.
At present she is with her in-laws and husband but soon she will move to my parents' house. It is the custom that the mother-to-be is at her parents' house when she gives birth to her first child.
K is very stubborn by nature. Pregnancy has also made her prickly. For example, it's a tough job to get her to drink vegetable juices (she hates eating veggies so I prepare veg. juice for her). She mutters under her breath and makes faces but pipes down and drinks it when she is reminded that it is good for the baby. One has to literally stand on her head while she drink it! ![]()
Secondly, I've decided that this year, I'm going to stay put in India and attain my Masters degree. It is high time I got on to it.
It is going to be a bi-it difficult mainly because I plan to finish this two-year course in one year. It means, giving exams at the end of this year, on 18 subjects. ![]()
I also have to submit the assignments on those subjects, a project work of about 50-100 pages for the first year course and the final Masters thesis for the final year syllabus. All this needs to be submitted by October this year.
I only hope I've got enough guts in me to finish it all on time! ![]()
Work wise, am back on track.
Made a mistake in the beginning of the year by agreeing to work for a small company in Mumbai (Bombay) and was bitterly disappointed with the work there. Apart from that, I hated living in Mumbai.
Also got acquainted with vulgar and vile side of the glamour and power world. Didn't like it one bit.
Much better to forget those times and remember never to act on an impulse when it comes to working for someone.
I work from home these days for a couple of hours and study the rest of the day.
My brother has his University exams coming up soon. I'm keeping a hold on his purse and his time to make sure he passes his exams this time around. ![]()
There is so much to talk about but I guess I'll write about it later. For now, I must finish the marriage post.
Enjoy the weekend!
